Registration & How To Apply

Registration is usually conducted at the beginning of each semester of the study year through the registrar office. It requires signed agreement between the student, registrar and the office. For registration, students shall first complete registration form as instructed by the registration office. Registration shall take place only for those completed payments of the given semester’s registration fee and tuition fee.  

Late registration results in penalty. One day late registration shall be fined 100 Birr ($3.28 US) and two days late registration shall be fined 150 birr ($4.92 US). A student who is late for more than two days without recognized accidental encounters cannot be registered. If such cases occur, then the case can be put to the MYS leadership.

Choose a Study Program

  • Bachelor of Theology
  • Bachelor of Theology with  a Concentration in Christian-Muslim Relations
  • Bachelor of Theology with concentration in Bible Translation and Mission
  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance
  • Bachelor of Arts in Management.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance
  • Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development Studies

Complete Form

Complete the registration form as instructed by the registration office. This requires a signed agreement between the student, registrar and the office.

Complete & Pay Fee

Registration shall take place only for those completed payments of the given semester’s registration fee and tuition fee. A student who has a late fee for more than two days without recognized accidental encounters cannot be registered.

Admission Requirements

There are a list of requirements a student must meet in order to be admitted. Each program has a different list of requirements, the requirements also depend on what kind of education you have before coming to this university.

Some of these requirements include: 

  • A Bachelor of Theology Course Requires a minimum of 40 courses for 123 credit hours: 34 required courses, 6 electives, and 1 final research project called the BTh Paper.
  • Addis Ababa Campus requires successful completion of the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination, successful completion of a Technical and Vocational Educational Training program, successful completion of a degree program from Public Universities, and much more.   • Bishoftu Campus requires for those to pass in an assessment by regional Centre of Competence , have one year of work experience after graduation and pass the university entrance examination, and much more which can be found on the Bishoftu Campus page.
  • The School of Music and Media has no requirements.
